Dr. Rahim Jalili, CEO of Khuzestan International Exhibition Company and President of the Iranian Association of International Exhibitions, has issued a message of condolence on the occasion of Tasua and Ashura:

“Indeed, Hussain is the lantern of guidance and the ark of salvation.”

🏴 The sun of Ashura’s noon in the sixty-first year of Hijra has never set for centuries and continues to shine its light upon the skies of souls thirsty for illumination. It was in that sacred moment when the echo of “Hayhat minna al-dhilla” (Far from us be humiliation) resonated from the lips of truth, shaking the very foundations of the oppressors’ reign. In that very instant, thirst was no longer a thirst for water, but a thirst for freedom; and Karbala was not a small land, but an eternal school for the free spirits of the world. Indeed, it was a time when the blood of honor and love shattered the sword of oppression and ignorance, raising a name to the summit of dignity and liberty: Hussain…

🏴 On this occasion, I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to all the lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet’s Household), on the days of mourning for Tasua and Ashura—the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his seventy-two loyal companions. I pray to Almighty God for the continuation of the path of freedom and liberation in the hearts of all those who love, and that the spirit of Ashura ever inspires our lives, granting us insight and steadfastness.
