Semnan — April 12, 2026 — Following damage to the infrastructure of the Semnan International Permanent Fairground caused by recent attacks on several non‑military facilities in the country, the President and Secretary‑General of the Iranian International Exhibitions Association visited the site.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Iranian International Exhibitions Association, parts of the halls and facilities of the Semnan Exhibition Center were completely destroyed during these incidents and have been rendered out of operation.

Rahim Jalili, President of the Iranian International Exhibitions Association—who had previously pursued, through official correspondence with relevant authorities, the need for government support in restoring the complex—visited the damaged sections today along with Mohammad Masoudi, the Association’s Secretary‑General. The delegation, invited by Abdolhamid Darbanian, CEO, and Ali‑Asghar Jom’eh‑ei, Chairman of the Board of Semnan International Exhibitions Company and Vice President of Semnan Chamber of Commerce, also participated in a technical meeting where the extent of the damage and potential reconstruction solutions were reviewed.

During the meeting, Jalili stated that the Association will continue its efforts, with full determination, to secure the necessary support for reconstruction through the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Trade Promotion Organization, so that the rebuilding process can be completed as quickly as possible.
